Job summary

Operation Smile UK is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the charity at a pivotal time, reporting to the Board and driving strategic growth across the UK programme and international links.

The role combines visionary leadership with hands-on delivery, strong fundraising expertise, and the ability to build trusted relationships with donors, partners and volunteers while ensuring strong governance and financial sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior leader in a charity or purpose-led organisation.
• Proven track record in fundraising, income generation and diversification.
• Experience leading teams and managing organisational change.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of UK charity governance, regulation and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead OSUK strategy development and governance with the Board.
• Drive fundraising growth across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships.
• Oversee financial sustainability and performance management.
• Foster international partnerships and collaboration with Operation Smile Inc.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing team and culture.
