This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Executive Director, IT Lead in Europe.

As the Executive Director, IT Lead, you will establish and oversee IT operations across Europe, ensuring technology solutions align with both regional business needs and global IT frameworks. You will serve as a strategic partner to commercial, medical, and R&D stakeholders, driving seamless integration, compliance, and operational excellence. This role involves building and scaling a high‑performing regional IT team, managing vendor partnerships, and implementing secure, reliable systems. You will champion change management, enhance adoption of technology platforms, and optimize IT processes to support business growth. Your work will directly influence organizational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the ability of teams to leverage technology effectively. This position is critical for enabling business objectives while maintaining alignment with global IT standards.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the establishment and scaling of IT operations in Europe, including team development and vendor management
  • Serve as primary technology partner for regional business functions (Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D), ensuring alignment with global IT platforms
  • Develop and execute regional IT roadmaps, capturing requirements, prioritizing initiatives, and supporting adoption of CRM, digital engagement, Omnichannel, and other systems
  • Oversee system integrations, enhancements, and compliance with regional and global regulations, including GxP, GDPR, and cybersecurity standards
  • Manage IT service delivery, including Tier 1-2 support, onboarding/offboarding, incident resolution, and change management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global IT, business, and R&D teams to drive operational excellence, system reliability, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead organizational change initiatives for IT projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment, clear communication, and successful adoption
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 12 years of experience delivering IT services and support, with at least 4 years leading regional IT in a life sciences organization
  • Proven experience building and scaling IT teams, including recruitment, performance management, and culture development
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, end‑user services, and cybersecurity practices
  • Expertise in Commercial data ecosystems (CRM, digital engagement, social, third‑party integration), master data management, and enterprise analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
  • In‑depth understanding of GxP systems, regulatory, compliance, and data privacy requirements
  • Experienced in change management, stakeholder engagement, and driving adoption of IT initiatives
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments
  • Preferred experience supporting pre‑commercial or commercial launches, Omnichannel systems, and oncology‑related technology initiatives
