Job Description
  • Technical resource for environmental management and monitoring plan (EMMP), environmental baseline surveys (EBS), environmental impact assessment (EIA)
  • Design, develop, and update EMMP technical specification for terrestrial environments in compliance with regulatory requirements and project objectives.
  • Define monitoring indicators, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
  • Coordinate and conduct field monitoring activities, including soil, vegetation, wildlife, and habitat assessments.
  • Perform monitoring for water quality, air quality, and noise levels in terrestrial project areas.
  • Verify accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Monitor adherence to environmental standards, permits, and legal obligations.
  • Analyze monitoring results and recommend effective mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholder representatives.
  • Prepare and present environmental performance reports.
  • Contribute to adaptive management strategies based on monitoring results.
  • Research and integrate best practices and innovative technologies for environmental monitoring.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  • Develop cost estimates of technical efforts for EMMP, EBS and EIA projects
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management, monitoring, and compliance for terrestrial projects.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring techniques (soil, water, air, noise, biodiversity).
  • Familiarity with EIA, EMMP, and EBS processes.
  • Ability to use data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or statistical software).
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and coordinate field activities.
  • Experience with field surveys and sampling protocols.
