Job summary

California State University, Office of the Chancellor, invites applications for a Senior Compensation Programs Analyst to independently manage complex compensation projects. You will prepare executive proposals, analyze systemwide compensation requests, and develop policies in collaboration with senior HR leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating BOT UFP materials, compiling reports, and providing executive-level communications and support on special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including at least four years in compensation and classification administration and analysis.
• Experience developing compensation policies, participating in salary surveys, conducting market analyses and job evaluations, and preparing executive-level analyses and reports.
• Experience in project management, data aggregation and analysis, and report preparation.
• Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and programs; strong knowledge of CSU compensation areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, coordinates, and develops materials for BOT UFP including annual vice presidential compensation reports and ad hoc items.
• Collaborates with SWHR leadership on executive compensation projects and initiatives, including total compensation proposals for presidents and system executives.
• Prepares formal employment communications for presidents and system executives for review and approval.
• Analyzes requests for changes to vice presidential compensation and MPP supplemental compensation; prepares internal equity analyses and reports.
• Conducts annual salary studies of all staff and management positions; coordinates systemwide compensation surveys and data analysis.
• Develops and maintains systemwide executive compensation and MPP coach databases with total compensation information.
