Executive Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Executive Chief Financial Officer to join our Board. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will advise the Board on financial, contractual, commercial and performance matters, oversee the finance, performance and procurement functions of the Trust, and ensure effective management of resources and delivery of financial objectives, aligning with our Exceptional Care Together strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial planning and frameworks and oversee their effective execution.
  • Develop and maintain performance management structures, supporting the CEO in maintaining strong relationships with NHSE, Derbyshire and Staffordshire Systems.
  • Lead the Trust’s Estates and Capital programme and oversee large-scale project delivery.
  • Appraise and manage the organisation’s charitable funds, contributing to overall mission and objectives.
  • Act as an effective role model, exhibiting and promoting collaborative leadership behaviours that uphold our values of Compassion, Openness and Excellence.
  • Provide strategic vision, challenge and support to all colleagues in the Trust.
Qualifications
  • Proven leader with a track record of driving organisational change within a complex healthcare environment.
  • Executive skills required to take the Trust forward, including experience in healthcare finance, performance management and procurement.
  • Strong understanding of NHS systems and regulatory requirements.
