A primary education federation in Shevington is seeking an experienced Executive Business Manager to oversee financial and administrative operations. The role involves strategic leadership and collaboration with school leaders. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in financial management and HR. This part-time position offers the chance to positively impact the education community.

Salary: Grade 10, £34,787 - £38,020 per annum.
32.5 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks working 40 weeks per year

Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we’re looking for a new Executive Business Manager and Senior Leader who shares our vision and values to join our dedicated and nurturing Federation team.
We are seeking a professional, proactive and experienced Executive Business Manager from either the private or public sector to lead on the strategic and operational management of our school’s finances, administration, human resources, technical infrastructure, premises and health & safety.
Our Federation is comprised of Millbrook and Shevington Vale Primary Schools along with their Pre‑School and Wrap Around Care provisions. Each business unit is financially independent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our vibrant Federation community and help shape the future for our children through the effective direction and leadership of our non‑teaching functions.
The post is part time 6.5 hours per day term time plus an additional 2 weeks. Salary is paid on a pro rata basis in line with Wigan Council’s salary structure.
To support a smooth transition, the current Federation Business Manager will provide a handover upon commencement of the role in January 2026.
