A leading government agency in Greater London seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Director with managing their diary and inbox. The Insolvency Service is a leading Government agency which plays a crucial role in providing essential services to the public and to business. The work we do is important to the proper functioning of markets, the economy in general and support for thousands of people each year who are in financial difficulty.
Legal Services undertakes both criminal enforcement work on a range of offences that underpin the insolvency regime and civil litigation work arising from director misconduct. The purpose of this post is to act as an Executive Assistant to the Director, managing a busy inbox and diary, whilst also provide wider support to the Senior Management Team.
This is a role within the Legal Services and as an Executive Assistant, you will play an integral role in assisting the Director to manage their time and work effectively, so that they can focus on their priorities.
It is an exciting role that allows you to be involved with making decisions on how the Director’s time is spent, consider competing priorities, and understand who to involve as an escalation point. You will be expected to evaluate information and take the initiative when acting as the first point of contact to ensure timely and appropriate responses to requests.
You will need to be resilient, flexible and effective in using your excellent organisational skills to work in a sometimes-pressurised environment with tight deadlines, responding to requests at short notice. You will have an ability to use your initiative and judgement and react quickly, proactively and professionally to changing priorities.
