Role Requirements

Must be based in Haringey at least three days per week, preferably four. The role involves office management tasks and supporting two heads of service and their teams, including diary and email management, liaison with other departments, organizing meetings, and minute-taking. Experience as an EA or similar role in a Local Authority environment is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Head of Repairs and Maintenance's office, diary, and itinerary.
  • Provide excellent Executive Assistant support.
  • Act as the first point of contact, screen enquiries, initiate appropriate actions, and help resolve queries, providing updates on important items.
  • Make decisions and act on behalf of the Head of Repairs and Maintenance within set parameters.
  • Prepare for and service meetings such as Senior Management and Improvement Board meetings, and follow up on post-meeting actions.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Substantial senior-level EA experience demonstrating success.
  • Experience with project work.
  • Experience dealing with Councillors, Senior Managers, and residents.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent IT skills including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic diary management, internet, and email.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including Board members and Councillors.
  • Proficiency in minute-taking.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and enquiry handling skills.
  • Tact, discretion, and sensitivity in dealing with confidential matters.
