Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant/CPD Administrator to join the team on a full time, permanent basis, to provide exceptional administrative support to senior leaders and coordinate professional development across the College. In return, you will receive a salary of £28,102 - £30,012 per annum.

We are a high‑achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth‑form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

About the role

As the Executive Assistant/CPD Administrator, you will deliver confidential and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team. In addition, you will provide administrative assistance to staff professional development and training, including event coordination, record‑keeping, and evaluation reporting. This is a varied and rewarding role within a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation. You will play a key part in supporting senior leadership and driving staff development initiatives that make a real impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high quality confidential and comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to two Assistant Principals.
  • Handle sensitively and discreetly a wide range of issues.
  • Provide assistance to other members of the Senior Leadership Team as required.
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders including learners, parents/carers, staff and governors to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner and monitored effectively.
  • Administer and support all aspects of staff continued professional development and training across all college sites.
  • Under the direction of the Assistant Principal, administer whole‑college continued professional development and training events, including the arrangements of venues, trainers and resources.
  • The post holder will be required to contribute to the achievement of the College’s Strategic Plan in relation to their role and responsibilities.
  • To demonstrate an awareness and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion as well as health and safety and safeguarding, including adherence to all college policies, practices and training.
Ideal candidate
  • English and Maths GCSE at grades 9‑4 (or equivalent).
  • A commitment to represent and embed a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion across the work of the College.
  • An inherent belief in the advantages and benefits and ethos of a post‑16 college experience.
  • Experience in a comparable environment, including preparation of agendas, minutes and reports.
  • Competent in a range of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – and the ability to choose the right communication method for the situation.
