EXECUTIVE SUPPORT OFFICER – DIRECTOR OF HOUSING

Sector: Local Authority

Location: London (Office-based)

Hours: 36 per week

Duration: 12 weeks (possible extension)

Pay Rate: £24.43 per hour (PAYE) / c. £30.00 per hour (Umbrella)

Interviews to take place immediately with a view to a start thereafter

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Executive Support Officer to provide dedicated support to the Director of Housing within a London local authority. This fast-paced and varied role involves diary management, inbox triage, meeting support, and acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including residents, senior leaders, and partner organisations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential, professional support to the Director of Housing.
  • Act as first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, and forward planning aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Oversee inbox management, triage enquiries, and draft responses as required.
  • Support management boards, meetings, and events, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with project work, research, and casework, including complaints and FOI requests.
  • Maintain office systems, filing, and information management in line with organisational policies.
  • Support emergency planning and business continuity processes as required.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all activities.
