The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
This is an exciting opportunity in a great organisation working with people who are passionate about what they do, providing efficient, confidential and proactive administrative support, including diary management, organising meetings and events for the Group Resources Director and wider Directorate, including the People Team.
You should be passionate about providing professional, friendly and confidential administrative support to senior leaders. You will be adept in using IT and have extensive experience in using a variety of Microsoft IT applications, including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and, ideally, also Sharepoint and Teams.
You will also have the skills and appetite to improve our administrative processes and to support the effectiveness of managers in the Group Resources Directorate. You will relish the variety and challenge of ad hoc project work and collaborate positively with colleagues outside the directorate in supporting the governance function of the group, including taking minutes.
With strong organisational and excellent communication skills, you will also have quick problem‑solving abilities, be self‑motivated and able to work pro‑actively with minimal supervision.
We offer a range of financial and lifestyle benefits to all our employees, including:
