Job summary

OCR Alpha is seeking an Execution Trader in London to join a growing trading team. This role offers exposure to macro and fixed income markets and a clear path to develop a long-term buy-side career.

You will execute trades across FX, rates, equities and commodities, collaborate with Portfolio Managers, and build relationships with sell-side counterparties while contributing to improvements in execution processes.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in FX and/or rates sales, market-making or execution.
• Hands-on OTC markets experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of macro markets, trade execution and liquidity dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

We are partnered with a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund managing over $20bn in assets, looking to hire an Execution Trader for its growing trading team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a macro or fixed income sales/trading background to transition into a leading buy-side environment, working closely with Portfolio Managers across a broad range of asset classes and investment strategies.

• Hands-on OTC markets experience is essential, particularly across products such as FX forwards, FX swaps, interest rate swaps or other OTC derivatives.
• Strong understanding of macro markets, trade execution and liquidity dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
