Job Overview

We are currently working with a major Renewable Energy client on a utility‑scale BESS project in the midlands.

Required Skills

The project requires a Civil/Structural Engineer with deep knowledge and experience of Substation civils design, including:

• Foundation slabs
• Equipment layout design
• Cable trenching/ducting
• Retaining structures
• On substations up to 400 kV

Role Details

The role is primarily remote, with occasional office presence (approx 2 days per month) and provision to set up a temporary office on‑site in Stoke if required.

• 6‑month initial contract with very high likelihood of extension
• Approx. rate £55‑£60 per hour
• Outside IR 35
• 2‑week reciprocal notice period
