Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Exchange Architect for a remote short-term contract. The consultant will design and deploy an Exchange Hybrid configuration, requiring significant experience in Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online setups. Ideal candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to create high-quality design documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Exchange Architect or Senior Exchange Consultant.
• Hands-on experience with Hybrid Exchange configurations to Exchange Online.
• Ability to produce high-quality HLDs and LLDs aligned with Microsoft best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for Exchange On-Premise environments.
• Architect and implement a Hybrid Configuration between Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online.

Rate: £500 - £550 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Company Introduction

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Exchange Architect to assist with the design and deployment of an Exchange Hybrid configuration. The successful consultant will have extensive experience in creating detailed design documentation and leading complex hybrid deployments between on-premises Exchange environments and Exchange Online.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for Exchange On-Premise environments (Exchange 2016/2019).
• Architect and implement a Hybrid Configuration between Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online.
• Work within a Multiple Forests, Single Microsoft Entra Tenant topology.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for coexistence, mail flow, identity synchronisation, and migration strategy.
• Support and advise internal teams throughout the design, configuration, and validation stages.

Required Skills/Experience

• Proven experience as an Exchange Architect or Senior Exchange Consultant.
• Strong expertise in Exchange Server 2016/2019 design and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Hybrid Exchange configurations to Exchange Online (Microsoft 365).
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Entra Connect, identity topologies, and multi-forest environments.
• Ability to produce high-quality HLDs and LLDs aligned with Microsoft best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
