Job summary

Nottingham College in Nottingham is recruiting for a dedicated administrator to support exam access arrangements across the college. You will manage a high-quality cross-College administrative system and ensure timely processing of Form 8/Forms 1 for inspections.

You will liaise with learners and the Exams Officer to approve applications, meet awarding body deadlines, and participate in relevant courses to stay compliant with JCQ regulations.

Qualifications

  • The right applicant will possess a team orientated focus and strong communication skills.
  • They should be approachable to students with varying complex needs.
  • Evidence of working within a college or education context is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a high-quality administrative system for exam access arrangements.
  • Facilitate applications and approvals of exam access arrangements with the Exams Officer.
  • Liaise with learners to initiate timely access arrangements and ensure awarding body deadlines are met.
  • Attend relevant courses to stay informed about JCQ requirements.
  • Ensure learners have approved access arrangements within Awarding Body regulations.
  • Complete records (e.g., Form 8s, Forms 1) accurately for inspections.
  • Line management responsibility including sickness, probation and performance processes.

What you'll do

  • To provide and maintain a high-quality cross-College administrative system for supporting and tracking exam access arrangement processes.
  • To facilitate the application and approval of exam access arrangements for students across the college to meet Awarding Body deadlines in liaison with the Exams Officer
  • To liaise with learners in a timely and professional manner to initiate a timely and responsive application for Exam Access Arrangements
  • To liaise and attend any relevant courses to gain information with regards to Exam Access Arrangements, as required by the JCQ
  • To ensure that learners have approval for appropriate Access Arrangements in place for their exams within the regulations of the Awarding Bodies
  • Provide completion of records notably the Form 8s Forms 1 etc in a timely, responsive manner at a very high standard for inspection
  • Line management responsibility including management of sickness absence, probation and performance processes.
