Exam Invigilator JOB DESCRIPTION

We are urgently recruiting Exam Invigilators to join our pool of staff ahead of Summer exams in our Secondary Schools.

Supporting Secondary Schools in the Tamworth area, we are looking for casual staff who can provide exam cover on a flexible basis between 8am and 4pm.

All bookings are guaranteed to be a minimum of 3 hours per day, with around 5 shifts per week.

The Role of an Exam Invigilator includes:

• Conduct examinations according to JCQ, awarding body, and school instructions.
• Uphold the integrity of the examination process.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the exams officer in securing exam papers and materials before, during, and after exams.
• Assist in setting up exam rooms according to instructions.
• Admit candidates into exam rooms and seat them appropriately.
• Distribute exam papers and materials correctly.
• Address candidate queries.
• Supervise candidates vigilantly during exams, minimizing disruptions.
• Handle emergencies or irregularities effectively and report them.
• Complete attendance registers.
• Assist in collecting exam scripts and securely returning all materials.
• Dismissing candidates at the end of exams.

This role is on a casual basis, with a full exam timetable and shifts provided in advance. Full, free training is provided to all successful applicants. You must have UK Right to Work and hold an enhanced DBS check, or be willing to apply for one at a cost of GBP55. We support new DBS applications.

Additional roles such as Lunchtime Cover, Catering, and Admin are available for suitable candidates.
