Job summary

A leading employment support organization in Southampton is seeking an Employment Specialist to help clients, especially ex-offenders, regain employment. You'll support them with CV writing, interview preparation, and job searching in a unique setting designed for wellbeing and creativity. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and 100% office-based with a focus on making a positive impact in people's lives.

Qualifications

• Ideally have worked in a similar position such as Employment Advisor or Job Coach.
• Experience in job searching and supporting clients back into work.

Responsibilities

• Support a caseload with disclosure letters and CV writing.
• Assist clients with job searching and interview preparation.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help clients.

Job description

This isn’t your typical employment support role. Imagine helping people back into work, but doing so in a space designed around wellbeing, creativity, and second chances. We're talking pool tables, a café area, wellness rooms, a music studio, an arts room, and cooking classes.

This project has been custom-built to support ex-offenders with rehabilitation. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team of specialist support workers helping clients with housing, healthcare, education, and wellbeing. With you being the employment specialist for the project. The go to on all things employment support. The role is based in Southampton.

Responsibilities

Your role? You step in when they’re ready to move forward. You’ll support a caseload with disclosure letters, CV writing, job searching, and interview prep, helping them take that next big step back into employment.

It’s hard to describe how powerful this project is, you really have to see it. We've visited it ourselves and can send you photos and blog links to give you a real sense of the environment.

Qualifications

What experience do you need? Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar position — maybe as an Employment Advisor, Careers Advisor, Job Coach, or Recruitment Consultant.
