Job summary

Firecracker Works in Wimbledon is seeking a full-time Workshop Operative. Based in our Wimbledon offices, you will support construction teams and manage warehouse tasks to move concepts from design to build. The role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining stock, and occasionally driving vans.

We require a proactive team player with a clean driving licence and strong English. Forklift experience is a plus, and the job may involve varied hours and travel for site work as needed.

Qualifications

• Team player with a proactive attitude and flexible approach under pressure.
• Valid and clean driving licence is required.
• Forklift licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
• Good understanding of materials and construction knowledge.
• Ability to prioritise, organise and work independently with initiative.
• Strong communicator with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Help organise the workshop and keep it tidy for workflow progression.
• General admin including physical and digital file management.
• Coordinate with production teams to repurpose build pieces post-event.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain inventory accuracy with regular cycle counts and audits.
• Follow health and safety protocols in the warehouse.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline warehouse processes.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory.
• Drive our vans for collections and deliveries.
• Support with external crew and warehouse maintenance as needed.
