Events & Wedding Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events and Wedding Coordinator to join our team on a fixed‑term basis at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and talented professional to join our events team working at our beautiful 850‑acre Brooksby Hall. We are passionate about exceeding our client’s expectations whether it is for a wedding, private party or a corporate occasion.

We are seeking a passionate and vibrant member to join a small team offering a highly professional and personal service for all events and functions. You will oversee the whole sales process from initial enquiry to selling the venues via show rounds, converting into a confirmed booking and a detailed plan from start to finish.

Your ability to make our clients feel welcome is essential, as is your management of the event and being on hand to assist the clients with their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and managing weddings, private parties and corporate events from enquiry through to successful delivery.
  • Conducting venue show rounds, converting enquiries into bookings, and preparing detailed event plans.
  • Supervising staff and bar services to ensure smooth operations, compliance with licensing laws and excellent guest service.
  • Overseeing event administration including bookings, refreshments, cash handling and maintaining security and cleanliness standards.
  • Supporting marketing efforts through blogs, social media and promotional events to drive new business.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time‑management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Hands‑on approach with initiative, discipline and the ability to work autonomously under pressure.
  • Previous hospitality or events management experience, ideally with operational delivery of successful events.
  • Fully IT literate with advanced Microsoft Office skills and professional use of social media; marketing experience is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak periods, with own transport to travel to Brooksby Hall.
