Job summary

Bar & Food - The Listing is seeking a confident Sales & Events Assistant to support day-to-day sales and events operations, turning enquiries into confirmed bookings while delivering excellent client service from first contact through to the event.

You will handle enquiries, provide venue information, quotes and proposals, conduct venue viewings, and help grow corporate and private event bookings in London.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident telephone manner.
• Hospitality, events, sales or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to speak with clients by email, phone and face-to-face.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming event and booking enquiries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
• Respond to clients, provide venue information, menus, packages and availability, and follow up enquiries to help convert leads into bookings.
• Proactively generate new leads and identify opportunities for corporate events, private parties, Christmas bookings and other functions.
• Conduct venue viewings with prospective clients, confidently presenting The Listing and its different event spaces.
• Follow up after viewings and maintain communication with prospective clients.
• Assist with preparing quotes, proposals and event information.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, leads, bookings and client communications.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure confirmed event details are communicated correctly.
• Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
• Help maintain relationships with existing corporate and event clients and encourage repeat business.
• Support the wider team during busy periods and with general office duties where required.
