Event Operations Specialist

We have taken on a fantastic new opportunity with a leading global firm that is expanding its events function in London. This is a newly created position for an experienced and highly organised Events professional who thrives in dynamic, fast‑paced environments and is passionate about delivering world‑class corporate experiences. THE ROLE:

This role offers the chance to take ownership of an evolving events function, overseeing the planning and execution of a wide range of internal and recruitment‑focused events — from intimate roundtables and high‑profile conferences to multi‑day global programmes. Day to day, you will:

• Lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of corporate events and programmes from the firm’s in‑office conference centre
• Manage the event pipeline and master calendar, including room holds and allocations
• Create detailed event documentation — including runs of show, floor plans, staffing plans, cue sheets, and logistics
• Partner closely with AV/Tech, catering, and workplace services teams to ensure seamless, on‑brand execution
• Oversee vendor relationships, budgets, and event staff to maintain consistently high standards
• Maintain and refine operational tools such as templates, playbooks, and checklists
• Drive continuous improvement through post‑event reviews and feedback
• Act as the main point of contact during events, overseeing set‑up, standards, and issue resolution

This is an ideal role for a detail‑oriented Events Specialist who loves structure, thrives under pressure, and brings creativity and composure to every project. The successful candidate will have 5–7 years of end‑to‑end event operations experience in a corporate or professional services environment (financial services exposure a plus). You will be confident managing multiple projects at once, a strong communicator with a proactive, client‑service mindset, and flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends when events require it.
