Job summary

An environmental organization in Bristol is seeking a passionate Events & Operations Officer to manage bookings and operations for a variety of events. You will thrive in maximizing repeat business and create new opportunities through effective marketing of educational and engagement activities. The role involves liaising with stakeholders and requires strong administrative and communication skills. This is a fixed-term position for one year, with a workload of 30 hours per week.

In a bid to tackle the ecological and climate crises, Avon Wildlife Trust has ambitious plans. Are you passionate about playing your part by demonstrating your keen marketing skills and helping raise funds for natures recovery?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Events & Operations Officer.

You will be working within the Grow Wilder team, managing and planning bookings and on-site operations relating to all events and space hire.

You will thrive on maximising repeat business as well as successfully creating new business through your involvement in developing and marketing a range of activities such as education, lifelong learning, employee engagement and wellbeing days.

You will work with the communications team, contributing to a wide range of digital and non-digital channels using accessible communications to reach a wide range of audiences.

As a person who loves meeting new people, you will liaise with numerous stakeholders such as internal staff, tutors and businesses to plan and manage bookings, which you will underpin with your excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
