Job summary

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESERVATIONS, GROUPS AND EVENT SALES OFFICE SUPERVISOR

You are the heartbeat of the office. Supporting the Manager, you will oversee the daily flow of the department, ensuring the team responds to all enquiries within agreed timeframes. You will be the "go-to" for technical queries on Opera, helping the team navigate complex bookings while monitoring daily revenue postings and deposit requirements. You will lead by example, coaching Heartists® to deliver 5-star service while spotting trends to maximise hotel revenue.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
  • Leadership & Support: Ability to provide the team with selling strategies, tools, and training support to ensure professional development.
  • Operational Excellence: Skill in updating arrival checklists, managing meeting room forecasts, and ensuring all required payment routes are followed.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to collect and analyse data, use forecasting tools, and coordinate sales activities to identify market trends and seasonal peaks.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Working closely with the Sales & Revenue Team and Operations Team to ensure communication links are strong and sales opportunities are maximised.
  • Problem Solving: A proactive approach to guest feedback, making recommendations to improve the guest booking journey.
  • Experience: Strong background in high-volume reservations, ideally within the Accor/MGallery brand.
