Overview

We’re looking for a proactive, reliable and hands‑on Events Assistant to support our B2B Division across the Healthcare, Care Home and Education teams.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out on the road, thrives in practical environments, and takes real ownership of their work. You’ll ensure every event is delivered to a consistently high standard – from the quality of our tasting experiences to the professionalism of our set‑up and customer interactions.

When you are not on the road, you’ll also play an active role in supporting our commercial marketing teams with day‑to‑day tasks and projects, providing valuable operational support across key campaigns and activities.Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held for at least 2 years) required

Responsibilities
  • Safely driving 3.5‑tonne vans to and from events nationwide.
  • Loading, unloading and setting up event equipment to a high standard.
  • Preparing and serving food at tasting events, ensuring quality and an excellent customer experience.
  • Managing event schedules and logistics, communicating clearly with colleagues across the business.
  • Taking full ownership of event kits, equipment, and associated warehouse space – keeping everything maintained, organised and ready for use.
  • Demonstrating excellent timekeeping, a professional approach, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Travelling regularly across the UK, including frequent early starts, late finishes and overnight stays, plus some weekend work.
  • Working independently for large parts of the day, using initiative to solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Representing apetito with professionalism, reliability and a strong customer focus.
  • Ensuring event vehicles, kit and equipment remain clean, safe, organised and event‑ready at all times.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact at events, supporting colleagues and customers confidently and courteously.
  • Providing marketing support to the B2B commercial teams when not attending events, helping with administrative tasks, campaign materials, stock management and general team support.
Qualifications/Personal Qualities
Essential
  • Full UK manual driving licence, held for at least 2 years.
  • Willing and able to travel across the UK, including frequent overnight stays (typically twice per week, rising to four during peak periods).
  • Comfortable with physical work, early starts and late finishes.
  • Reliable and conscientious, with strong timekeeping and a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership while contributing positively to the wider team.
  • Professional, customer‑focused and confident communicating with people.
  • Strong organisational skills and basic computer literacy.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends.
Desirable
  • Experience in a delivery, driving or event‑support role.
  • Experience handling event set‑up or logistics.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness.
  • Customer‑facing experience.
