Job summary

De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham is seeking an Events Assistant to join our team and help prepare event spaces for guests. You’ll set up and clear down spaces for conferences, weddings, awards, or special events, ensuring rooms are ready on time with attention to every detail.

This hands‑on role involves moving and arranging tables, chairs, and equipment, following room plans, and supporting smooth behind‑the‑scenes operations. We value reliability and teamwork in a busy events environment.

Are you keen to be part of an events team and play an important role in getting our event spaces ready for our guests?

We are recruiting for Events Assistants to join our team at De Vere Latimer in Chesham.

As part of our Events team you’ll

help set up and clear down our event spaces, whether we’re getting ready for a conference, wedding, awards night or special event. You’ll make sure rooms are set up correctly and ready on time, with every detail considered.

This is a hands-on role involving moving and arranging tables, chairs and other event equipment, using trolleys where required and making sure everything is moved safely. You’ll follow room plans, help with room changes and make sure our event spaces, fixtures and equipment are clean, well presented and ready for the next event.

Working as part of the wider Events team, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes and take pride in knowing your work has helped set the scene for a memorable event.

What we look for in our Events Assistant :

• A keen eye for detail to make sure every event space is set up correctly and to a high standard.
• Someone who enjoys a practical, hands‑on role and is comfortable moving tables, chairs and event equipment.
• Someone who can work efficiently in a busy environment and enjoys the variety of different room set‑ups and events.
• A reliable team player who enjoys working with others and getting the job done together.
• Previous experience in a similar events or hospitality role would be helpful, but it’s not essential as full training will be provided.
