We work across public and private sector and have over 250k customers across the UK across 20 different sectors including construction, transport, retail, hospitality education, facility and property management, manufacturing, local and central government.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Events Assistant to ensure the seamless delivery of our year-round in-person, online, and hybrid events programme. You will support the Events Manager in coordinating and hosting a wide range of events, including large-scale networking sessions, webinars, corporate conferences, and trade show events.

This position offers practical exposure to the full event lifecycle. You will assist with tasks such as planning, logistics, and on-site coordination, working closely with the Events Manager, suppliers, and attendees. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about building a career in events and gaining practical, hands‑on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support in key tasks, such as updating project boards and responding to inbound requests.
  • Update event applications and platforms with accurate and timely information.
  • Support the wider marketing team in promoting in-person and online events through email campaigns, website content, social media outreach, and the creation of digital and physical assets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external webinar presenters to ensure smooth delivery of webinars.
  • Assist the Events Manager with hosting webinar events and deliver technical support to ensure seamless execution. Responsibilities include moderating the chat, overseeing Q&A postings, and monitoring speakers' technical requirements.
  • Act as an additional point of contact for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors for all types of events - responding promptly to enquiries and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the event process.
  • Support with the coordination with external vendors, including venues, AV and tech specialists, couriers, and printers.
  • Support in‑person event delivery, including onsite set‑up, support regarding the event mobile app, attendee and seminar check‑in, and exhibitor assistance.
  • Assist with post‑event evaluation by preparing comprehensive reports and collecting feedback.
  • Travel to event venues and be available to work occasional weekday evenings or early mornings as needed.
Skills & Experience
  • Proactive with particular attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic office skills, including Office 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and event technology.
  • A flexible “can‑do” attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Whilst event experience is preferable, we welcome candidates with transferable skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in events.
