Job summary

Tempest Photography (H. Tempest Ltd) is a UK-wide, family-owned business specialising in portrait and group photographs for the Education sector; schools, colleges and universities, but also for UK s uniformed services.

We re looking for a confident, hands-on and energetic Staging Assistant to join our Large Group (Rig) team. You’ll spend your days visiting schools and colleges, helping to set up staging and coordinate large groups (50–600 pupils and staff).

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual, active work.
• Able to direct children and adults onto/off staging.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Two references required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building and dismantling large staging structures (often daily).
• Help organise and guide large groups safely onto the staging.
• Share driving duties and travel to locations with early starts and occasional overnight stays.
• Support the photographer with equipment handling and logistics.
• Maintain a friendly, professional rapport with school staff and students.
• Follow strict health and safety procedures.
