Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Restaurant Associates, is seeking reliable Event Staff for a temporary role at the Royal Armouries, Leeds. The position runs October 2026 to December 2026 with shifts across day and evening times to support a busy events calendar.

You will assist with setup, greet guests, provide food and beverage service, and help maintain high hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Availability on peak Thursdays to Saturdays is preferred.

Event Staff (Temporary, Oct–Dec)

Location: Royal Armouries, Leeds
Salary: £12.71 per hour (paid weekly)
Dates: October 2026 – December 2026

The Royal Armouries is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our Events Team on a temporary, zero-hour basis from October through to late December. You’ll be helping us deliver a busy calendar of events, including our renowned Christmas parties, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience!

About the role:

As part of our Events Team, you’ll play a key role in bringing our events to life. Duties will vary depending on the function but may include:

• Assisting with event set-up and break-down
• Greeting and directing guests
• Providing food and beverage service
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from the bar
• Cleaning duties associated with service areas, bar equipment, furniture and event spaces
• Supporting the smooth running of Christmas parties and other seasonal functions
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, professionalism and customer service at all times
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations

Shift Options:

We offer both long shifts (12:00pm–3:00am) and evening shifts (6:00pm–3:00am). We understand that you may not be available for every event; however, as the majority of our functions take place on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, successful applicants will need to be available for the majority of these peak shifts.
