We’re working with an independent B2B media company that delivers conferences, festivals, and awards programmes across the UK and Europe. Their events bring together professionals from the marketing and digital world to network, learn, and collaborate.

The company is expanding its events portfolio and is looking for an experienced Event Sales Manager to join the team. This is a commercially focused role, responsible for driving exhibition and sponsorship revenue, converting inbound leads, and building new business opportunities across multiple events.

The role

As Event Sales Manager, you’ll manage the full commercial process — from identifying potential sponsors and exhibitors to negotiating contracts and maintaining client relationships. You’ll work closely with the wider sales and events team to ensure each event reaches its revenue goals while providing a strong client experience.

This position suits someone who’s proactive, target-driven, and confident managing the full sales cycle.

About you
  • Previous success in B2B event sales
  • Experience with sponsorship or exhibition experience would be useful
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working with senior decision-makers
  • Knowledge of digital/influencer marketing is desirable – not essential
Key responsibilities
  • Generate new business and manage existing client relationships to achieve revenue targets
  • Convert inbound leads and identify new sales opportunities
  • Sell sponsorship, exhibition, and partnership packages across a portfolio of events
  • Maintain accurate records using the company’s CRM system (HubSpot)
  • Collaborate with marketing and event delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes for clients
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, and industry functions when required
