Job summary

Showsec International in Aberdeen is seeking an Event Safety Steward to join our team at iconic venues such as P&J Live and Aberdeen FC. You will monitor crowds, conduct safety checks and support entry/exit procedures, while remaining approachable and vigilant.

We offer flexible shifts, opportunities for training and progression, and a base pay rate from £15.07 per hour with additional shift rates. Applicants should be based in/near Aberdeen and have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, hospitality, customer service or crowd management is welcome.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post event checks.
• Assist with safe ingress/egress and queue management; enforce venue policies.
• Pass, accreditation and ticket checks.
• Monitor spectators for signs of distress or inappropriate behaviour and report to supervisor.
• Identify hazards and report potential risks to the on-shift supervisor.
• Assist with evacuation and invacuation procedures in emergencies.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed by all stakeholders.
• Understand and complete general stewarding responsibilities.

We are looking for additionalEvent Safety Stewards to join our Aberdeen team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at some of the city’s most iconic venues and events, including P&J Live, Aberdeen Football Club, and more.

Join our team as an Event Safety Steward and help deliver safe and enjoyable events. This role combines outstanding customer service with a strong focus on safety and security. You’ll be responsible for monitoring crowds, conducting safety checks, and supporting with entry and exit procedures, while remaining approachable, professional and vigilant at all times.

What can Showsec offer you?

• A minimum hourly rate of £15.07 per hour (comprising a pay rate of £13.45 and indicative holiday pay of £1.62). Holiday pay is indicative because it is accrued at 12.07% for every hour worked in accordance with your average pay rate over the previous 52 worked weeks. If you work at a different rate the pay and holiday pay will change accordingly.

What you will be doing

• Perform pre and post event checks

• Be vigilant, identify potential hazards and suspicious behaviour, and report to the on-shift supervisor
• Assist with evacuation and invacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
• Ensure health and safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to by all stakeholders
• Understand and complete general stewarding responsibilities

• You will be offered a variety of shifts starting at the base pay rate shown on this advert. The maximum pay rate applies to specific shifts such as club nights at specific venues. It will remain your decision as to whether you wish to accept any offer of work in line with the provision of services contract.
