Job summary

AJ Chambers are assisting a top International Law Firm with the hire of a New Events Manager. The role leads the planning, delivery and evaluation of a firm-wide events programme, supporting Business Development teams and fee earners.

The successful candidate will manage a small events team, oversee UK and international events, and work with Marketing and BD teams on conferences, client dinners, webinars and partnerships. Core hours and on-site work three days per week in London.

Qualifications

  • Proven event management experience, including planning, budgeting, delivery and reporting.
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience delivering events within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent project management, communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an annual events strategy aligned with business and client development goals.
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-profile and complex events, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Manage event communications, invitations, attendee engagement, and post-event follow-up.
  • Oversee event budgets, supplier relationships, payments, and cost control.
  • Use CRM and email marketing systems (InterAction and Vuture) to manage invitations, attendee data, and reporting.
  • Measure event effectiveness through attendance, engagement, ROI, and feedback analysis.
  • Maintain event records, calendars, best-practice guidelines, and filing systems.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and BD teams globally and support webinars and podcast.
  • Manage conference attendance, hospitality activities, and external partnerships.
  • Mentor and manage two Events Executives and one Events Assistant.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, event technology, and best practices.

AJ Chambers are assisting a top International Law Firm with the hire of a New Events Manager.

The Events Manager leads the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a firm-wide events programme, supporting Business Development teams and fee earners. The role manages a team of three and oversees a diverse calendar of UK and international events, including conferences, seminars, webinars, client dinners, hospitality events, and partner conferences

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of high-profile and complex events, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard

Working Pattern
