Job summary

Arena Racing Company in Sittingbourne is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join Central Park Greyhound Stadium. You will work in our lively hospitality venues, delivering friendly, efficient service across bars and restaurant areas.

Hours include evenings and weekends with flexible shifts; training is provided, and you’ll help guests enjoy a top-class experience while handling orders, cash, and POS systems.

Qualifications

• Smart, polite, professional and well presented.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.
• Flexible, adaptable and team-oriented.
• Good numerical and literacy skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
• Previous bar, waiting or cash-handling experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Advise guests on available products and promotions, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Set up and maintain bars, tables and service areas with appropriate stock, glassware, and condiments.
• Take and process food and drink orders accurately using the tills and POS systems.
• Serve beverages, including wines and spirits, in accordance with licensing laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all work and public areas, following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Support with stock rotation, waste recording, and basic cleaning duties before, during and after service.
• Handle cash and card payments securely and accurately.
