Job summary

The Beaconsfield Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for a reliable Nursery Housekeeper to keep our nursery clean, safe and welcoming for children, families and staff. The role is permanent, 10 hours a week, Monday to Friday evenings, at £13 per hour.

You will maintain playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas; assist with laundry; and support safety and hygiene procedures. We offer flexibility for the right candidate and opportunities to grow within the Family First Group.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work in a nursery environment.
• A DBS check is required for all posts.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and emptying bins.
• Supporting laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organising nursery linen.
• Assisting with washing up and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas.
• Following Health & Safety, COSHH, infection control and safeguarding procedures.
• Monitoring cleaning stock and reporting replenishment needs.
• Supporting periodic deep cleaning tasks as required.
• Working closely with the nursery team to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
