Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Assistant to join the team at Christchurch Hospital. The role supports patient flow by delivering high-standard domestic services across wards, departments and theatres.

You will work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:00–21:00, following the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025, with on-site training and supervision provided by the team.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy to a minimum level 1.
• Experience of cleaning in a paid role.
• Knowledge of standards in healthcare cleaning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of domestic service to patients, staff and visitors within Clinical/Non-Clinical Wards, Departments and Theatres.
• Deliver prioritised cleans to support patient flow throughout the hospital.
