Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time hospital housekeeping assistant based at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot. You will join a friendly team to maintain a clean, safe and patient‑centric environment, supporting staff and visitors.

Training will be provided in COSHH, infection control and safety protocols. The role requires 17.5 hours weekly, spread over five days, with evening shifts 6:00 pm–9:30 pm and weekend work as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Good level of basic education.
• Able to demonstrate literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills.
• NVQ level 1
• Basic food hygiene

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all hospital areas to a high standard.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and buffing floors.
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Collecting and disposing of rubbish and clinical waste per policy.
• Replenishing consumables (soap, towels, toilet tissue).
• Maintaining equipment safety and reporting faults promptly.
• Assisting with curtain changes and deep cleans as required.
• Support catering duties when needed.
