Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting a Forklift Operator for a busy warehouse at Greendale Business Park, Exeter. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and offers supportive teamwork, excellent hours and competitive pay.

You will load/unload with a Counterbalance forklift, record pallet movements, pick and pack orders, and assist with stock control. Work Monday to Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm, at £14 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.
• Pivot Steer experience is advantageous; training provided.
• Experience in a racked and bulk storage warehouse environment is desirable.
• Physically fit and able to undertake a manual role.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Flexible, reliable and willing to support a variety of warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance forklift trucks to load and unload goods into racking and bulk storage areas.
• Assisting with unloading shipping containers, including ramp and loose-loaded containers.
• Recording pallet movements accurately using handheld scanners and warehouse paperwork.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Liaising with the Storage Supervisor regarding deliveries and collections.
• Supporting stock control and inventory activities.
• Working independently to prioritise and complete daily tasks.
• Undertaking additional warehouse duties as required to support the wider operation.
