Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Washington, Tyne and Wear. You will ensure equipment is clean, well maintained and safe, meeting SLAs and health and safety rules. The role is permanent and full-time, 32.5 hours per week with an evening shift pattern Mon-Fri 12:00–19:00.

You will complete required training, work in a team, and provide excellent customer service while building positive relationships with customers. A flexible, reliable approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Work within a team and use cleaning equipment safely.
• Self-driven and reliable with a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean and in safe working order.
• Meet all agreed SLAs and health and safety requirements.
• Follow training and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships.
