Job summary

Rochdale Council is seeking a Cleaner in Charge to manage cleaning duties at Langley Family Hub in Middleton. The role supports a busy hub with evening hours (Mon 5pm-8:30pm, Tue 4pm-6:30pm, Thu & Fri 4:15pm-6:30pm) with potential overtime and flexible work to meet service needs.

The ideal candidate is hard-working, energetic, honest, with strong customer care and the ability to deliver a high-quality cleaning service while maintaining safety and compliance on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining a busy building.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication with users of the Family Hub.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of designated areas to a high standard per cleaning specification.
• Carry out practical handy person tasks as required.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and hub users, ensuring a safe environment.
• Record keeping and compliance tasks to support a secure site.
