Essex Cares Limited is seeking Care Assistants to join our reablement team across South Essex, predominantly Rochford, Rayleigh and Canvey. You will support customers to regain independence at home, assisting with personal care, mobility and meals.

No previous experience required as full training is provided and a mentor will guide you through induction. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential as travel between customers is required; we offer 55p per mile tax-free and guaranteed

Mileage: 55p per mile

Contract: 30 hour contracts available,

Shifts: W eekday evenings shifts (3.00pm to 11.00pm) weekend shifts (7.00am-3.00pm & 3.00pm-11.00pm)

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Travel required– You will be required to travel around South Essex, predominantly Rochford, Rayleigh, Canvey and surrounding areas.

About You

As a Care Assistant in reablement, you’ll be playing a key role in helping our customers regain their independence and continue living in their own home. This could include helping clients to relearn skills in their lives, such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals. You don’t need to have any previous experience as we will provide you with all the training you need.

Once you are trained, you will be assigned a mentor who will take you out to meet some of our customers and work alongside you until you are confident in the role. After your induction training, with guaranteed contracted hours, we will support you to progress within the company, paying for ongoing specialist training, nationally recognised qualifications and well-being support.

As this is a Care Assistant role in the community, we will need you to have access to a car and a full driving licence with business insurance. With rising petrol costs, we offer the government maximum tax-free mileage allowance of 55p per mile as well as paying your time travelling between customers.
