Job summary

Moat House Care Home in Burbage near Hinckley is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with dementia in residential, respite and day care settings.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living, follow care plans and monitor wellbeing, documenting changes to support safe care. The role requires weekend work on alternate weekends; DBS, pension and uniform are provided, with ongoing training and progression.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment and as part of a team.
• Reliable, positive and professional attitude toward residents.
• Understanding of dignity, independence, equality and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, infection prevention and safe working practices.
• Full training will be provided; willingness to work toward NVQ 2 and Care Certificate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living.
• Follow individual care plans and monitor residents' wellbeing.
• Report changes promptly and maintain accurate care records.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist with meals.
• Support residents on appointments and outings; keep environment clean and safe.
• Follow health, safety, safeguarding and infection control procedures.
