Job Description

Location: We cover Andover and East Wiltshire (Devizes, Pewsey, Marlborough, Amesbury, Andover, Tidworth, Larkhill, Ludgershall, and surrounding villages)

Job Type: Part-time

Hourly Rate: £12.70

Shifts: Evening shifts, typically starting between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, with the last shift finishing at 10:00 pm. You can select regular hours on any day of the week that works best for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Evening Care Assistant, you’ll help clients wind down and end their day comfortably. Your role will focus on providing personal care and support, ensuring that clients feel safe and supported as they prepare for the night. Tasks may include:

  • Assisting clients with getting ready for bed (e.g. washing, dressing, undressing)
  • Preparing a light evening meal or snack and assisting with drinks
  • Helping clients take their evening medication
  • Offering companionship and emotional support to ensure clients feel at ease
  • Ensuring the safety and well‑being of clients, including helping them settle for the night
  • Providing any other support needed to help clients feel confident and secure before bedtime

  • Compassionate, kind‑hearted individuals with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to work a few regular hours in the evening, ideal for those seeking part‑time hours or wanting to work alongside other commitments
  • No prior experience in care is necessary – we will provide all the training you need
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
  • Access to reliable transport, as many of our clients are located in rural areas
  • Ability to work alternate weekends is preferable

Location: We cover areas including Pewsey, Devizes, Marlborough, Andover, Amesbury, Tidworth, and surrounding villages. Due to rural location of our clients a valid UK Driving Licence is needed: With access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Please note: Applicants must live within a 20‑mile radius of the SN9 postcode and hold a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to effectively work in the rural service area we operate in.
