Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a skilled mechanic for our Dundee service centre to prepare vehicles for the road and provide meticulous maintenance. You will work on a wide range of manufacturers and models, developing your skills with the latest vehicle technology as part of a capable team.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Solid work experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components and diagnose issues using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace broken or defective parts.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists to complete all procedures and documentation.
