Shape the future of European tax strategy-join a leading pharmaceutical firm in the UK as their next Tax Manager.

R&D Partners is seeking a European Tax Manager to join a pharmaceutical organization in the UK, on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee tax reporting and compliance for various European markets, provide expert advice on tax-related matters, and ensure adherence to local tax regulations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in tax compliance and accounting who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and submit all US tax reports, including quarterly tax provisions and projections using specialized software.
  • Coordinate annual transfer pricing documentation, analyze financial data, and collaborate with commercial teams and external advisors.
  • Prepare corporate income tax returns and calculate tax payments in partnership with external advisors.
  • Communicate with tax authorities and respond to queries from external auditors.
  • Prepare annual tax disclosures for statutory financial statements.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws, assess their impact, and share insights with relevant teams.
  • Participate in internal projects to ensure tax compliance and provide advisory support.
  • Support the strategy for standardizing processes, improving efficiency, and managing risks using tax technology.
  • Assist other markets with tax-related tasks as needed.
Key Skills and Requirements
  • Professional qualification as an accountant or chartered tax adviser.
  • Strong experience in tax compliance within a practice or multinational corporate tax setting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, statutory audits, and financial statement disclosures in at least one European jurisdiction.
  • Familiarity with indirect taxes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English.
