Job summary

Orka Financial is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead financial control across several European operations from Maidenhead. This full-time contract runs for up to 18 months and offers a salary of £75,000-£85,000 per year.

You will oversee reporting, compliance and system improvements, while coordinating with regional stakeholders to provide clear commercial insight and guidance to leaders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Financial Controller, Finance Director or regional finance leader.
• Experience with European audit and statutory requirements, UK and Germany preferred.
• Knowledge of modern finance systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, management reporting and statutory activity across European entities.
• Coordinate audit, VAT, tax, payroll and local compliance with external advisers.
• Own budgets, forecasts and cash-flow planning; translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Review project accounting, revenue recognition, utilisation and margin in a project-led environment.
• Strengthen data quality, workflows and reporting across finance and connected platforms.
• Guide and develop finance colleagues while engaging regional and international stakeholders.
• Provide practical support on commercial, contractual and operational matters.
