Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Sector Analyst for European Equities on our Market Intelligence team. You will combine alternative data with fundamental research and data science to produce actionable insights that inform investment decisions.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers, analyze diverse datasets, and deliver research outputs across written reports, visuals, and presentations for investment professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate or advanced degree with demonstrated academic success.
• 1–5 years of equity/investment/research or consulting experience.
• Proficiency with technical coding and live screening (SQL, Python).
• Experience using data analysis in fundamental research.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical partners.
• A passion for finance, research, and data-driven problem solving.
• Strong organizational skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze alternative data and develop expertise on themes driving the industry and companies in your coverage.
• Produce research for investment professionals across written reports, visuals, and presentations.
• Engage with investment professionals to support discretionary investment decisions.
• Collaborate with Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source and leverage data assets.
