Job summary

Hachette UK in Didcot is seeking an experienced End User Compute (EUC) Specialist to manage Microsoft services, maintain the MAC estate with JAMF, and support a wide range of SaaS tools. You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver IT services and projects on time, with strong user focus.

The role requires 3+ years in AD/Azure/O365/Intune and relevant Microsoft certification. It offers a hybrid pattern: 3 days in the Didcot office and 2 days at home.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, O365 and Intune with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Microsoft associate or expert certification preferred.
• JAMF Accreditation and experience leading IT professionals are advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Microsoft services (AD, Azure AD, SCCM, Intune, O365) securely.
• Maintain MAC estate using JAMF services.
• Ensure compliance with security policies across end-user estate.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver IT projects on time and budget.
• Troubleshoot EUC issues across hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors to deliver IT services.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as escalation point.
• Manage identity & access management for onboarding/offboarding.
• Manage meeting room tech and signage solutions.
• Administer SaaS solutions (Zoom, Dropbox, DocuSign, Adobe, etc.).

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Microsoft services, including Active Directory, Azure AD (ENTRA), SCCM, Intune, and O365. Ensure these services operate optimally and securely, with cyber security best practices.
• Maintain our MAC estate using JAMF services
• Maintain high levels of compliance across our end user estate to adhere to our security policies
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to efficiently deliver projects, ensuring successful implementation within defined timelines and budgets.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to end-user computing, encompassing both hardware and software components. Proactively address any challenges that may arise, striving to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, process documentation, and training materials. Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date.
• Collaborate closely with other IT team members and various departments to ensure the seamless delivery of IT services. Promote effective communication and cooperation to achieve common goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Participate in evaluating and implementing new solutions that align with the organisation's evolving needs and improve the resiliency and security of EUC services.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve issues promptly and ensure the efficient delivery of IT services.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to all employees regarding EUC-related concerns. Act as a primary point of escalation for inquiries to ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
• Maintain Hachette’s identity & access management platform to enable seamless automation for starters, leavers and mover processes
• Maintain and enhance our suite of meeting room tech and signage solutions
• Implement, Maintain and Administer a variety of SaaS based solutions as required such as (Zoom, Dropbox, DocuSign, Adobe,..)

Note: You could be assigned to work on projects for our National offices and may be required to be on site there.

The role will be based at our Didcot office with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
