Contract: 12 Months

As Project Lead for the EU Pay Transparency Directive (EU PTD) programme, you will lead a coordinated, cross-functional response to evolving pay transparency legislation across the EU.

You will deliver practical and sustainable solutions that meet regulatory requirements, manage risk and support a culture of equity and transparency. Working with People, Legal, Communications, Technology, country teams and external specialists, you will align stakeholders around shared outcomes, guiding principles and risk-based decisions.

This is a delivery and orchestration role. You will engage the appropriate subject matter experts, translate advice into clear decisions and connect actions across the programme. Success requires strong stakeholder management, structured delivery, governance expertise and the ability to influence across a complex organisational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated delivery of the EU PTD response across relevant countries and entities in partnership with programme sponsors and specialist teams.
  • Own the project view of objectives, scope, outcomes, principles, milestones, risks, dependencies and critical path.
  • Translate evolving regulatory requirements into coordinated delivery plans, practical options and recommendations with subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate timely, risk-based and principles-led decision making.
  • Challenge delivery approaches that may create risk, delay or unnecessary rework.
  • Embed transparency, accountability, inclusion, agility and continuous improvement throughout programme delivery.
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, country representatives, People teams, Technology teams, Delivery Services and external specialists.
  • Support leaders in navigating the cultural and behavioural changes associated with pay transparency.
  • Provide concise, evidence-based updates on progress, risks, decisions and priorities.
  • Facilitate constructive challenge and align differing country and functional perspectives.
  • Bring together the right stakeholders to design, test, deploy and embed solutions.
Legislation & Country Implementation
  • Monitor EU Member State legislation, regulatory guidance and implementation developments, coordinating the programme response.
  • Work closely with Legal and other subject matter experts to assess regulatory implications.
  • Coordinate country impact assessments and implementation plans.
  • Balance local legislative requirements with global principles, processes, technology capabilities and data constraints.
  • Maintain a clear record of country-level decisions and approved local variations.
  • Escalate unresolved interpretation, risk or policy decisions where appropriate.
  • Track industrial relations engagement and ensure outcomes are reflected within implementation plans.
  • Maintain governance forums, approval processes, decision rights and escalation pathways.
  • Establish and manage an effective delivery cadence across workstreams and steering committees.
  • Maintain oversight of regulatory, operational, technology, data, financial and reputational risks.
  • Ensure status reports, governance packs and project documentation remain accurate and current.
  • Track actions, decisions, assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Maintain complete and audit-ready project records.
Technology, Data & Operational Readiness
  • Coordinate programme activities across technology, data and operational functions.
  • Oversee development and enhancement of existing technology solutions.
  • Work with Technology, Payroll, Data, Operations and People teams to establish sustainable BAU ownership.
  • Ensure readiness plans include communications, training, support and deployment activities.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact successful rollout.
Measures of Success
  • Success in this role will be demonstrated through:
  • Delivery of a coordinated and compliant response across relevant countries and entities.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and alignment across functions and geographies.
  • Timely, evidence-based decision making with appropriate governance and challenge.
  • Successful management of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
  • High-quality, auditable and defensible project documentation.
  • Sustainable implementation of solutions that support regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness.

Experience & Capabilities

  • Experience driving cultural and behavioural change alongside process and technology change.
  • Strong governance, planning, reporting and RAID management expertise.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to connect activities across multiple workstreams and align stakeholders around common outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining audit-ready records.
  • Previous experience influencing senior stakeholders and subject matter experts within complex organisations.
