Job summary

SEKO Logistics is seeking an Export Team support professional in Manchester to help manage key accounts and drive the smooth execution of export operations. You will work across Air, Road and Sea shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with clients, suppliers and colleagues.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to procedures, and proactive opportunity spotting within existing accounts to foster growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in export operations and freight forwarding.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively support all aspects of the Export Team by handling key accounts and day-to-day client requirements.
  • Understand and comply with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with Customs procedures to ensure correct processes are followed.
  • Liaise with agents and suppliers as needed.
  • Manage Air, Road and Sea export operations from start to finish.
  • Demonstrate good commercial awareness in daily tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and administrative duties.
  • Maintain clear, effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to actively support the continued growth and success of SEKO Logistics through a commitment to achieving our strategic goals.

Meeting and exceeding the client expectations and actively support the

Operations Department with the smooth running of key accounts and client development through a committed approach to customer service, pro- active communication and relationship building with all customers, suppliers, colleagues and overseas offices.

Effective time management and commitment to looking for new opportunities for growth and development from our existing customer base.

Teamwork is imperative and customer needs, are paramount.

Key responsibilities:
  • Proactively support all aspects of the Export Team by handling Key Accounts and the day to day requirements for clients
  • Understand and comply with Standard Operating Procedures set out in line with customer requirements
  • Customs Procedures - Assist the team in ensuring correct customs procedures are being used and followed

Skills and qualifications:
  • Specialised knowledge – operational freight forwarding

  • Knowledge of UK Multimodal Export and customs procedures
  • Hands on approach-positive attitude
  • Ability to think on your feet

Details
  • Permanent
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am – 17:30pm
