Job summary

Univar Solutions in Glasgow is recruiting HGV Class C drivers (ideally with ADR) to ensure safe delivery of chemicals and ingredients to customers. You will operate within a versatile fleet, including a 1.2-ton vehicle, with a 48-hour week average over a 26-week reference period.

The role offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package and progression opportunities in a supportive Transport team based in Glasgow.

£38,222.52 + Potential annual bonus of £1,800

Duties

We’re recruiting for HGV Class C drivers (ideally with ADR) to step into our driving roles to help keep our business moving and our retail customers happy to ensure the chemicals and ingredients used in everyday products, get safely to our customers, helping keep our communities healthy, fed, clean and safe.

Drivers must be flexible to operating within the full fleet, which may include a 1.2ton vehicle, so some small handball will be required based off a 48 hour average working week over a 26 week reference period.

Our trucks are all DAF fully automatic vehicles and benefit from everything you need whilst you’re out on the road. They are fitted with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, air-conditioning, fridges and a whole host of latest safety technology to aid you in your day, with a new rigid fleet on order for 2027 and tractor units replaced every 4 years.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Communicating with our customers at their sites and providing a first-class service
• Ensuring the safe delivery of products to customers across the Univar Solutions Network
• Complying with all safety processes, procedures, and legislation.
• Understanding, prioritising, and escalating our customers' feedback and requests to our internal teams
• Completing specialist ‘Pump Over’ deliveries using our high specification vehicles to pump product directly into customers tanks (Category C roles only)

We Are Looking For

• True professional drivers to deliver high standards of service and efficient driving to achieve our compliance and safety targets
• A UK resident and currently living in the UK, with the right to work in the UK (offer of employment is subject to satisfactory proof of this)
• Hold an ADR licence and Driver CPC (A training agreement can be put into place for the successful candidates who do not hold one currently)
• Care deeply about delivering a world class service
• Serious about safety and follow safety procedures
• Comfortable using and iPhone and mobile apps
