Job summary

VettaFi is seeking an ETF Data Specialist to own ETF data on our B2C platforms including ETFdb.com, AdvisorPerspectives.com, and ETFStream.com. Reporting to the Head of Digital Product, you will audit, refine, and optimize AI-generated content, classifications, and data extractions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires 3+ years in asset management or fintech with strong SQL and LLM prompting skills, plus a degree in finance, economics, CS, or data analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the asset management or financial technology industry, with a focus on product management, data product ownership, or data operations.
• Technical skills include strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with LLM prompting and evaluation techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Bonus points for existing relationships with major financial market data vendors and direct taxonomy/ontology experience.

Responsibilities

• Audits, fine-tunes, and optimizes LLM-generated classifications, descriptions, and data extractions to ensure AI accuracy.
• Architects the ETF ontology, maintaining a unified taxonomy for asset class categorization.
• Ensures end-to-end data quality across all VettaFi web properties with timely updates.
• Collaborates with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver relevant market data to investors at the right moment.
• Manages vendor relationships as the primary liaison for market data integration and alignment.
• Defines and monitors data KPIs to improve system performance and platform precision.
